Why partner
with us?
For almost a decade, we’ve been delivering games that all offer a unique take on the strategy genre with our signature sense of humor.

Our Motto is “Never Be Boring”
The signature LRD tone
On day one, the player is dealing with sectarian violence within their borders. On day two, they’re handling a refugee crisis. On day three, a despotic chicken contacts them demanding war reparations. We make games that – cleverly and accessibly – tackle serious political & social issues with humor and charm. We craft experiences that make players think through games that are mechanically unique and socially aware.

An expert remote studio
Other small studios are slowly adapting to a business model that we have mastered over a decade. Remote development poses unique challenges, but also amazing opportunities to provide a better working environment for our employees and reach talent from all over the world to develop more ambitious products for a fraction of the cost of brick-and-mortar studios.
Games with secrets
We’ll let you in on a company secret: “We don’t mind investing a little bit of time crafting surprises that a small minority of players will see. Those players ultimately share their discoveries, and become our loudest banner-carriers. The majority of our players have logged many hours exploring our systems-driven games that promise to surprise and delight well past the hundred-hour mark.”

Our business
No egos, just experience
Little Red Dog Games is a UK-based international remote studio with approximately 30 employees spread across ten countries. It was fully acquired by private equity firm Supernova Capital in 2021.
Ryan Hewer
CEO
Ryan’s resume is as eclectic as his interests, having worked previously as a Canadian diplomat, a nuclear safeguards specialist, a middle-school history teacher and an associate professor of game design. Ryan founded surrealist strategy studio Little Red Dog, and has developed a reputation around designing PC games that look and feel different to anything else on the market. A decade later, the company and its ambitions have grown significantly, but its foundational message remains the same: “Never be boring.”
Nate Sawyer
Art Director
In a career spanning almost twenty years, Nathan’s pursuit of artistic excellence has found him working at companies large and small across multiple mediums and platforms. With a background in animation, he has held leadership positions at household names Mattel and Disney, as well as cutting edge innovators Stress Level Zero and Fitz Frames. At Little Red Dog he brings his experience and talent to bear as art director, leading an international team of artists to reimagine what strategy games should look like.
Błażej Żywiczyński
Executive Producer
For over a decade, Błażej has been leading internal, external and remote teams of different sizes as a producer and as a creative. With hits such as This War of Mine, Frostpunk and Ori and the Will of the Wisps behind his belt, he is now Little Red Dog’s spreadsheet king and harshest critic. “Making good shit and making bad shit takes roughly the same amount of time and effort… So why waste that time making bad shit?”

Our values
We’re a different kind of dog!
We make games that we want to play. Games that make you think and make you laugh, for people who like to explore their values As a collective of people, we want to keep doing what we love and also remain happy ?
No crunch. No exceptions
Our world class production team has deep experience safeguarding our employees’ well-being while delivering products on time and on spec.
Global Team. Unified Vision.
Distributed across ten countries spanning twelve time zones, bringing together perspectives spanning different social, ethnic and national background to make games that matter.
Doing remote work better
We aspire to be the best fully-remote game studio in the world, and have a decade of experience making games with distributed teams working from home.
Agility and humility
We make fast, brave decisions at LRD, and when things aren’t working effectively, we are transparent about decision-making and what we’ve learned along the way.
Trailblazing
Every single game we work on does something that nobody has seen before. You can see it in our reviews, and we won’t compromise that vision to make something uninspired.
A Pack That Cares
Everything being worked on, be it concept art, narrative, animation or programming, is developed with passion and consideration. We’re proud of what we’re working on.
